Hi, I'm Lee! I am the owner of Darrow Farms. If you would've asked me six months ago if I would be here now, I would've looked at you like you were crazy. But, here I am. Navigating my whole new world. Is it a little crazy? Yeah, I'm not gonna lie. Some of you know me personally. Some of you don't. Let me give you a little snippet into my life. Up until a few months ago, our future was planned. Who knew one phone call could change it all?
We received a phone call a few months ago asking if we were willing to sell our family business. It was honestly one of the hardest things I've ever contemplated. This business. This business was my life. It was my childhood home. It was where guests went from watching me grow, to watching my children grow. It was where I learned to swim and both of my children learned to swim. It was where my mother jumped in the pool to rescue me (on numerous occasions) and where I jumped in to rescue my own babies. This business was where our employees and guests became family. It was not a decision to be made lightly.
Fast forward a couple of months. The business is sold. I have felt feelings that I have never and probably will never feel again. A huge shoutout to my family for putting up with me through it all. I know we left our legacy with the right family. That home, that business was a huge blessing to our family and I truly believe it is a blessing to the family that has it now. I know everything happens for a reason. I promise I’m wrapping it up.
Today is my dad's birthday. I know he’s watching down on me. Did I plan on launching on his birthday? Not exactly. However, I feel everything comes full circle. I do know this is exactly where I am meant to be right here, right now.
